Organization

The Organization Committee, led by co-chairpersons Bradley Wierenga and Laura Haule, is responsible for building support for the DSCP's efforts and activities within the community. This is done through consistent and on-going communications of the greater Partnership, raising funds, overseeing staff and developing a strong and active volunteer base. Among this committee's activities are: Producing the annual Strategic Planning Session and Annual Meeting, Fundraising and Membership & Volunteer recruitment and development.

One of the roles of the Organization Committee is to recognize those who have made a significant contribution to the revitalization of Downtown St. Charles with the Downtown Pride Awards. Nominees are members of the Downtown Partnership, whether individuals, businesses, or organizations or in the district known as Historic St. Charles. One of the results from the Strategic Planning Session was the development of guiding principles to enhance the current Mission Statement:

To enhance the economic viability and preserve the character and beauty of downtown St. Charles.

As a volunteer-driven organization, we commit to the following Guiding Principles:

  • Create vitality downtown
  • Build upon historic assets
  • Provide value to our constituents
  • Collaborate with all those vested in downtown St. Charles
  • Ensure the future success of the DSCP

We invite you to become involved with this dynamic committee. Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at Arcedium Coffeehouse, 60 Indiana Street. For more information, contact Ashley Dorsch at the Downtown St. Charles Partnership office: 630-513-5386 ext. 3.
