Parking & Traffic

Analyzing and improving downtown parking areas and traffic patterns are the goals of the Parking & Traffic Committee as they seek to create a more pleasant downtown experience. The Committee, led by chairman Dan Marshall and co-chairperson Hertha Mozul, makes recommendations to the City on Pedestrian Safety, Parking Signage, Identifying Employee Parking, and Identifying Bike Routes through Downtown St. Charles. Business owners or residents of St. Charles are invited to join the committee.

The Committee has also worked with Greg Rejnert, Director of Public Works, in the development of new information kiosks featuring parking maps and business directories for the downtown. The kiosks were installed in the spring of 2007.

Parking & Traffic Committee meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 a.m. in the Municipal Center - 2 E. Main Street. For more information, call Ashley Dorsch at the Downtown St. Charles Partnership office: 630-513-5386 ext. 3.
